Tap the mic and say it the way you'd tell a friend: “twelve euros lunch”, “kal petrol 1.5k card se”. Live captions show what the phone hears.
ControlExpense understands
The amount, category, date and payment method become chips you can check. With the offline model, speech that isn't English or Hindi is translated on the phone first, so categories still work.
ControlExpense reads it back
Your phone's own voice says what it understood. Tap save, or try again. Nothing is logged until you tap.
99 languages
From Hindi to Hausa.
The offline model detects the language by itself, so you can switch languages between entries without changing a setting.

The offline speech model
Download it once from the voice screen or Settings → Voice, over Wi-Fi if you can. It runs entirely on your phone; recordings are never uploaded. Remove it any time to free the space. Needs Android 13 or newer; older phones use the phone's own speech recognition.

What happens to your voice
With the offline model, nothing leaves the phone. Without it, ControlExpense uses your phone's built-in speech service, on-device when its language pack is installed; ControlExpense offers that download too. The read-back uses your phone's own voices.
